Columbia Law School
Walters serves as a co-instructor for Lawyer Leadership: Leading Self, Leading Others, Leading Change at Columbia Law School. This interdisciplinary course focuses on developing law students’ capacities for ethical leadership and collaborative problem-solving
African Nova Scotia Justice Institute
Walters advised on the development of race-conscious restorative justice programming with the African Nova Scotia Justice Institute. Previously, she produced bilingual training modules on criminal law, sentencing and anti-Black racism for Impact of Race and Cultural Assessment (IRCA) writers.
Queen’s University Faculty of Law
Walters taught Sentencing & Imprisonment at Queens Law for the Winter 2026 term. The course examined the legal, theoretical, and policy dimensions of sentencing in Canadian criminal law, with a focus on the discretionary nature of sentencing, the role of advocacy, and the relationship between sentencing outcomes and punishment.
